My First Shanghai Lesson
This blog thing was proving VERY problematic while we were in Shanghai as the government shut down all blogs in China and I was attempting to update it via a nifty way that Aileen came up with. On our return to Australia I accessed the blog and realised that some of the updates did not go through. Bugger. So just for completeness, I will update it now. I learnt my first lesson on living the Shanghai life pretty early on in the piece. The first Tuesday we were there we caught up with the Evans family for dinner before their flight home on Wednesday. We went to our favourite new haunt, Taikang Road for a great Thai meal – Greg had gone there previously with Bec and Scott. Apologies for the quality of the photo (new camera) but just wanted to share something amusing. I was taking the photo but had been sitting in the spare chair next to Robyn underneath that pipe. Note to self, NEVER sit next to a pipe in a Hutong in China that leads into the ground which was clearly coming from the toilet on the second floor! Nice
As you have probably guessed I have just got your blog details, I am cooking the dinner and reading between cooking and general stuff! Cheers! Hope you have found a great wine resource!
