Shay had a lovely day with her new friend Scarlett at Scarlett's birthday party. Scarlett goes to the same school as Shay and she also lives in the same compound as us so they ride the bus together although she is in Grade 3. The family are newbies to Shanghai as well from New Zealand. Scarlett, Shay and Scarlett's sister Yasmine went to the Jin Jiang Action Park which is kind of like a REALLY downmarket Disneyland but kind of cool at the same time as some of the rides are really kitschy like the little ride on animal things. They do have the more glitzy rides but others are really old and daggy. I am sure we were taking our life in our hands on some of them :-) There were some hilarious signs too which I will post separately. Very funny!!
